Clacton County High School - Open Evening - Thursday 25^thSeptember 2025

Parents and Carers of Year 6 pupils have to consider their child’s secondary school place for September 2026.
This is a key decision in the life of any child.

The staff, students and governors at Clacton County High School cordially invite future students along with their families to our annual open evening on

Thursday 25^thSeptember 2025, commencing at 4.00pm until 7.00pm

We look forward to welcoming Year 6 students and their parents.

A series of short 15-minute presentations will take place in the Main Hall during the evening.
There will be four presentations as follows:

Holland Park - 4.00pm;
Presentation starts in the Main Hall @ 4.15pm
Holland Haven and St. Clare's - 4.30pm;
Presentation starts in the Main Hall @ 4.45pm
Great Clacton - 5.00pm;
Presentation starts in the Main Hall @ 5.15pm
All other Primary Schools - 5.30pm;
Presentation starts in the Main Hall @ 5.45pm

To apply for a Year 7 place at Clacton County High School please follow this link to Essex County Council Online Admissions system.

Please note the deadline for secondary school applications is the 31^stOctober 2025
Applications must be completed online and you should check that you receive an email confirming your application has been received.
Schools should be listed in preferential order, placing Clacton County High School first on the list if you wish your child to attend our school

Essex County Council operates the co-ordinated admissions scheme for the normal annual admissions into Year 7, which includes Clacton County High School.

All applications for secondary school admission in September 2026 must be made by 31^st October 2025 by following the application process outlined by Essex County Council on their website - HERE
Late submissions may not be able to gain a place at CCHS.

Appeals Information

Essex County Council have issued the following information regarding appeals:

If you have been refused a place at any school for which you applied, you have the right to appeal to an independent appeal panel. Appeals must be lodged within 20 school days of being refused a place. There is no guarantee of success with any admission appeal. We, therefore, advise you not to refuse the school place offered until you have secured another place for your child’s education.
