Well Being & Support

Welcome to our Well-Being and Family Support Hub

At Clacton County High School we recognise the importance of early help to offer support, to help meed the needs of students and their families.

Early Help is everyone's responsibility; together we will make sure that children, young people and their families are safe, happy and ready for school, work and life's challenges.

As a school we take the support of our students very seriously both academically and pastorally.
• Form tutors are accessible for students to discuss any problems or difficulties they may be experiencing.
• Subject teachers are always available outside of lesson time to assist with any difficulties students may be having understanding what they are being taught, problems they are having with completing homework or anything else related to that particular subject. This support sits along side the numerous revision and coursework sessions organised across the subject areas - Extra-Curricular Sessions.

Our Year Leaders and Pastoral managers are on-hand throughout the day to help with any problems that students encounter at school and endeavour to resolve problems before they become overwhelming and require reactive intervention - please do not hesitate to contact them via our reception - admin@cchs.school

In addition, we have an extensive Safeguarding Team with a wealth of experience who triage and signpost support for our young people and families. The Safeguarding Office, where students can go if they are concerned or worried about anything, is opposite Room B11. The Safeguarding team have a dedicated Safeguarding Webpage, for students, parents & carers alike, as well as the MyConcern!Platform for reporting your concerns.

FACE give practical, accessible, and affordable support to parents and professionals who support children and teenagers.
The school currently subscribes to ensure CCHS parents can access these talks for free - Courses Timetable

How to access: To access the provision, you will need a CCHS code. If you have not received the code or have lost it, please contact us via admin@cchs.school

The code grants all CCHS parents and staff unlimited access to all FACEParent Talks (usually £24 each) for 12 months (up to Jan 2027 for our school). The talks are on a four-week rotation and are available as morning sessions (10:00-11:30) and evening sessions (19:00-20:30).

The code cannot be used for any other FACE services or shared with parents or staff from another school.

How to Use the Code: Visit the PARENTS page of the FACE website (facefamilyadvice.co.uk) to view the 16 regular talks for parents. Click through the booking calendar to find a date and time that suits you. At the payment stage of booking, enter the code where it says ADD PROMO CODE. This will reduce the price from £24 to £0.

**Note:** Links to recordings of the talks are available for 48 hours after the session. If you cannot make a live session, book on and then email to request the recording link.
