Year 6 into 7 - Primary Transition

We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you and your child to Clacton County High School (CCHS). We look forward to working closely with you over the next few years.

Our Transition Team will be visiting each of our feeder Primary schools during May to talk to those Year 6 students who will be joining CCHS in September 2026. They will talk about school and what students should expect. There will also an opportunity to answer any questions that the students may have.

Important Dates for the Diary

Thursday, 11th June - Year 6 Induction Evening: 4:30-7.00pm

On the evening of Thursday 11th June we invite our new students and their families to school for a presentation, where they can find out more about CCHS, the transition process and to meet key people.
Specific information about this evening will be sent to our new parents prior to the evening.

Thursday, 25th June -  Year 6 Induction Day

Our new Year 7 students are invited to join us for their Induction day on Thursday 25th June when they will get the chance to have a guided tour of the school and get to do some sample lessons. Throughout the day they will be able to talk to some of our current Year 7 students, who were in their position this time last year, and can tell you more about life at CCHS. They will also meet some of the adults in the school who will help and support them throughout their time with us. We will also be distributing this year's 'CCHS Year 6 into Year 7 Induction Booklet' that will provide more information about our school and what to expect to help prepare them for starting their secondary education at CCHS in September.

If you have any questions or concerns, please email CCHS and a member of the Transition Team will respond:
