BTEC Applied Level 3 ICT
This course gives students the knowledge, understanding and skills needed in preparation for employment or university. Students will study four units of work covering a wide range of topics including: Information Technology Systems, creating systems to manage information, using social media in business and website development.
In this course, we explore the immense world of communication in ICT, considering how the world has become so ‘small’ and inter-connected through technological advances. The course also takes account of the constantly evolving nature of IT to ensure students are best prepared in whatever field of work they chose, given that IT increasingly influences all aspects of life.
Assessment in this course: A combination of internal and external assessment, where 58% of the assessment is external.
Students need to have achieved a minimum of 4 grades 4-9 incl. English and Maths, as well as at least a grade 4 pass in an IT related subject.
