Mid-Term Sports Round-Up – Part 1 – The CCHS Netball Teams

PROUD - OpportunityThis term our sports teams are focusing on fulfilling their football and netball fixtures ahead of the end of British Summer time. It has been a very busy schedule with fixtures scheduled most weeks against the local coastal secondary schools. The teams have already played Manningtree High School, Harwich & Dovercourt High, Tendring Technology College and the Colne Community School, although some of their opponents have not been able to field teams in every year group.
The CCHS Netball Teams
Despite netball club being as popular as ever, with on average fifty students attending each week, our netballers have struggled this season. Their victories so far have been against Harwich, when they had to combine forces to field Under 14 and Under 16 teams due to lack of Harwich players, and this week against the Colne with convincing wins from the Year 7 and Year 8 teams. The girls still have a number of games to play, before the season concludes for another year, to boost their league positions. Pictured above are the CCHS Year 7, Year 8, Year 9 and Under 16 Netball teams.     There are more photos available on our Photo webpage.        More sports news next week...

Prescribed Medication

If any of our students need to take prescribed medicines during the school day, our First Aid team are happy to look after and distribute medicine to the students at the prescribe time intervals. All medicines must be supplied in their original box, which should display the name of the student. Details of the required dose also needs to be included (these details are usually contained on the dispensing chemists’ label which would normally be stuck to the original medicine packaging).
Unfortunately, we are unable to accept or administer any medication that is not supplied in the original box.
