Arts College

As an Arts College Clacton County High school has enjoyed being a lead school for the Arts since September 2001 and have taken every opportunity to promote the Arts to our learners and local community. In 2007 we widened our arts specialism to incorporate Drama, Art and English.

We provide a balanced and broadly based Arts education which is designed to develop enquiring minds and enthusiasm for art subjects. Our learners are encouraged to think creatively and take part in many of the activities we have on offer.

Our students can participate in Summer schools, many enrichment activities such as school concerts, the art and enterprise collaboration with Colchester Zoo and raising funds for charity. We use practising artists to enhance the learning of our students and believe that these experiences really contribute to make the education of our youngsters fun, meaningful and memorable.

We are privileged to have been invited to join the “Creative Partnerships Change School Programme”. Creative Partnerships is the Government’s flagship creative learning programme designed to develop the skills of our young people, raising their aspirations and achievements, and opening up more opportunities for their futures.
